The Sword In the Stone is probably the most exciting of the three, as it will be hitting Blu-ray for its 50th Anniversary. The movie follows the tale of a young boy named Wart, whose life is changed after meeting Merlin and heading on an adventure that includes a sword stuck in stone. The Blu-ray combo pack will include a DVD and digital copy and will even come with a brand new bonus feature, offering fans of the flick an alternative opening sequence. Additionally, all of the extras from the DVD release will be available with the set.
Robin Hood is al so celebrating itâs 40th anniversary with a Blu-ray release. The retelling of the classic tale will come with a deleted storyline called âLove Letters.â Other classic extras will also be available, including some sing-a-long extras, which are pretty fitting, considering the flick was nominated at the Academy Awards for best original song in 1973.
Finally, Oliver and Company is turning 25 and is also getting an anniversary Blu-ray release. In the film, a cute orphaned cat meets up with a dog named Dodger and the subsequent adoption story is full of plenty of rambunctious moments and uplifting ones. Overall, if you already own a copy of any of these films, the anniversary editions may not be worth a purchase, but if you havenât delved into them for a while, they may be worth a watch.
